CARMEN ELECTRA’S BURLESQUE SHOW

Former ‘Baywatch’ actress Carmen Electra has signed on to star in a new burlesque show in Las Vegas.
Carmen Electra will perform in a cage in a new burlesque show.
The former ‘Baywatch’ star has signed on to appear in 10 shows at MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris in Las Vegas from tonight (08.07.09) until July 13.
The 37-year-old actress said: “It’s very sexy but very classy. In my heart I’m a dancer. And maybe more than that, a performer.”
Carmen will perform three routines – Lecon D’Erotisme, a lesson in eroticism, Chain Gang, in which she goes “animalistic” in a cage, and Etoile de Paris, an ensemble song.
The brunette beauty is not the only ‘Baywatch’ star to perform at the famous burlesque club.
Pamela Anderson appeared at the original saloon in Paris last year, performing a steamy striptease involving a sheer black body stocking and a motorcycle.
She said at the time: “It’s a celebration of women. It’s done very respectfully, very classy, and it’s a wonderful show for women as well as for men.
“This isn’t for money. It’s just for the love of the art, and the Crazy Horse does it best.”
Burlesque star Dita Von Teese has also performed at the Paris club.
Soap is Jodi Gordon’s pole-dance muse

JODI Gordon developed her taste for pole-dancing and strip clubs through her role on Channel 7 soap Home and Away.
The embattled starlet, exposed as a regular customer at Kings Cross strip joint Bada Bing, learned the art of pole-dancing more than two years ago when her TV character Martha took it up to impress her tough guy boyfriend.
A seven spokeswoman yesterday denied reports Gordon was leaving the network.
“Home and Away is on a production break right now and Jodi is using that time to rest and prepare for the second half of the season. She is concentrating on taking the right steps to get her life back in control,” the publicist said.

Bikini Olympics: It’s Models vs. Actresses – Let the Games Begin with Electra’s Pole secret

Models and actresses set the standard for beauty in Hollywood and beyond, but which group of women is the sexiest?
To find out, Radar Online turned to three experts who rated six of the top beauties in each glam group (all contestants wearing bikinis, of course, as it is the Bikini Olympics).
The judges graded them on sex appeal, body proportion and tone.
The experts consulted were Dr. Anthony Youn, a plastic surgeon from Rochester Hills, Mich. and a regular commentator on E! Entertainment Network; Dr. Edward Jackowski, author of the best-selling book, “Escape Your Shape” and CEO of fitness and nutrition company Exude, Inc.; and Bob Esquerre, a top fitness trainer and CEO of Esquerre Fitness Group.
We’ve got a winner and she’s an actress. In fact, two of the three top spots were won by actresses, but when you see the photos it will be hard to call any of the catwalk queens a loser.
And the Gold Medal winner is…
Congratulations Carmen Electra! The Baywatch and “Scary Movie 4″ star looks so great in her white bikini that Dr. Youn said: “She’s one of the hottest women in Hollywood.”
Dr. Jackowski was equally appreciative, noting: “Carmen’s strong, yet feminine look is very alluring and extremely sexy.”
Esquerre also put her in first place, and pointed out: “Every curve, every nuance of her body and posture oozes sex appeal.” Indeed.
Bar Rafaeli “Every curve is perfect,” Dr. Youn says of the cover model for the 2009 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
Trainer Esquerre agrees: “She’s one sexy lady—a classic beauty with soft, feminine skin and a beautifully curved body.”
And Dr. Jackowski thinks Bar could do wonders for the morale of America’s soldiers. “Bar’s poster should be a pin-up for every soldier overseas at war,” he said. “Bar is every man’s dream girl!”
And the Bronze Medal goes to…
Anna Faris The “Scary Movie” star looks close to perfection, so her third place finish shows the fierceness of this competition. Dr. Jackowski says, “Anna is very sexy, fit and has beautiful curves and is very comfortable in her own skin as she looks just perfect in that bikini”
Dr. Youn, the plastic surgeon, sees no room for improvement. He said: “She looks like she works out regularly and has a perfect bikini body.”
Trainer Esquerre is equally impressed. “She looks absolutely fab in that bikini—a great choice that shows what’s got to be shown and hides just enough,” he said. “Her body is taut and firm, maintaining sexy curves.”

Ferndown carnival fun pole dancing… but no bunting!

POLE dancing, superheroes and marching bands were the highlights of this year’s Ferndown Carnival.
Around 800 people took part in a spectacular procession through the town with floats including Polz Apart, which runs local pole dancing exercise classes and St Mary’s Church, who donned superheroes outfits.
The ban on bunting from the carnival failed to dampen spirits with more than 6,000 people turning up to watch.
Organisers said they were “delighted” with the £1,048 raised from the event, which will be split between 40 local charities.
The procession marched for around one mile through streets, finishing at St George V field off Church Road.
The fun continued on the field with stalls from organisations including the scouts and guides, Dorset Wildlife Trust, Cats Protection, The Alzheimers Society, Waggy Tails and Polz Apart.
And music lovers were thrilled by Robbie Williams tribute act Lee Pashley, who performed in the centre of the field, and the antics of Bournemouth Carnival Band, who dressed as Spidermen. Children had fun on quad bikes.
Gail Hunter-Warburton, one of the carnival’s organisers, said: “We had a fantastic day and we were extremely lucky with the weather.
“We didn’t get to have any bunting. We had a huge amount of people come up and say it was absolutely ridiculous.
“We had a few more walking entries this year. St Mary’s Church float stood out and the vicar was dressed as Superman.”
“There was such a crowd around the pole dancing. There were girls showing people how to pole dance and there were people up to the age of eighty having a go. It is really good exercise and not sleazy.
A last minute hitch meant there was no beer tent on the field this year but its absence made it more of a family event, added Gail.
“It didn’t mar the day and people seemed to stay longer. We might not even have one next year. It was so family-orientated,” she said.
Madonna pays tribute to Michael Jackson with spectacular performance
Even for an artist famed for reinvention, it must have been a dizzying 10 months for Madonna since her last appearance in London at Wembley Stadium: the divorce, a new daughter, four-year-old Mercy from Malawi, and the death of Michael Jackson, originally scheduled to play the O2 three days after Madonna.
Her tribute last night made this spectacular performance — the launch of phase two of the 50-year-old’s European Sticky & Sweet tour — even more memorable.
Some fans who were also at Saturday’s 17,700-capacity show knew what was coming, but that didn’t reduce the impact when dancer Kento Mori, dressed like Jackson, moonwalked to Billie Jean and Wanna Be Startin’ Something.
“Let’s give it up to one of the greatest artists the world has ever known — Michael Jackson,” said Madonna, while a boyish Jackson appeared on the big screen. “Long live the king!”
Madonna couldn’t claim to possess the virtuosity of Jackson at his peak. But whatever her vocal limitations, this was a triumph of eye-popping production, exhausting choreography and her indomitable personality, as well as those fantastic songs.
The appearance of Kanye West and Britney Spears on video as well as a vintage Rolls-Royce on the ego ramp initially suggested a show big on gimmickry. Yet, while it was rehearsed with military precision, Madonna gave much more than you expect from a global superstar, even when tickets cost up to £175.
Nevertheless, the pounding musical interludes during the costume changes were actually better than plenty of concerts. So when Madonna rose from below the stage in a mini-skirt, skipping and then pole-dancing on a moving DJ booth during Into the Groove, the reaction was approaching hysteria. “Who says the English are reserved?” she bawled.
Despite her own raunchy history, Madonna’s rock-hard body was not too exposed, although she did manage to snog a look-alike of her Eighties self and a dancing monk grabbed her backside for a stipulated two seconds.
It was her fearsome pop power and the fantastic dancing that kept you transfixed though, whether on joyous renditions of Like a Prayer and La Isla Bonita, or the fantastic clubby finale of Give it 2 Me, during which Madonna and her dancers each wore one white glove in honour of Jackson.
“No one’s going to stop me — ever,” Madonna pointed out after a breathless two hours. Based on this performance, who can doubt her?
